Franz Krachtus is an accomplished and award-winning photographer with images published in Time Magazine, Riviera Magazine, New York Times, San Diego Magazine, Engadget, Gizmodo, Huffington Post, Healthy Living Magazine, and other media outlets. He specializes in commercial & lifestyle photography and is the Creative Leader for Buffini & Company.

in 1990 he was named one of the Top 40 Entrepreneur Under 40 by Entrepreneur Magazine for his invention and marketing of a new type of greeting card.

He is the former art director of the Santa Barbara Independent, animator & media specialist for IBM, and was creative director for several marketing agencies and design firms. Hollywood Pixels is Franz's small, marketing-driven design company, specializing in creating strong branding for a wide variety of companies.

In 1996 he co-launched Hollywood Pixels as a production company for the animated series “Vinnie Vavoom” and “Joe Taxi” which was distributed by Atom Films. Together with his business partner they launched numerous groundbreaking companies such as Textgram, the nation’s first cross-carrier wireless text messaging and broadcast text messaging platform; Super Cantenna, a revolutionary WiFi antenna that vastly expanded wireless reach and sold at Circuit City, CompUSA, Radio Shack, Fry Electronics and others.
